The kingdom is not possible without redeemed subjects to inhabit the kingdom.
Today, Redemption is the door through which Jews and Gentiles are introduced to God and His Story.
We walk through that door and enter into His Story through relationship with His Son Jesus.
The Plan of Redemption is expressed as the Gospel: the good news that even though we are sinners Jesus died to pay for our sins and welcome us into eternal life.
This usually is expressed as Creation, Fall, Redemption, Restoration.
It is most often told with no connection to covenants or Israel. But in fact our salvation is through the New Covenant, Israel’s New Covenant, that we have been grafted into as Gentiles. We were not the native branches to which the covenant was originally promised, but rather wild branches that God graciously grafted into the covenant promises made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Peter first expressed the Gospel in Acts 2–3 talking about the restoration of all things.
